The longer answer is that metallic epoxy is one of sixteen coating systems we install across South Florida, and the only reason it ends up on your slab is because the walkthrough determined nothing else would last as long. Wrong-system installs fail at year 2 even with perfect prep. The most expensive floor anyone ever buys is the one that needs to come out and be redone in three years.
Metallic epoxy is the most visually unforgiving coating system we install. Every flaw in the slab shows through. Every prep shortcut, every uneven application, every airborne contaminant becomes part of the finished floor permanently. We refuse metallic installs on slabs we haven’t fully diamond-ground, and we won’t pour metallic in rooms that still have construction dust in the air. The reward for the discipline is a floor that looks like flowing stone, depth, movement, color separation that no other system can produce.
Lifespan on properly-installed metallic in a residential garage runs 10-15 years before any wear shows. Topcoat refresh extends it another 5+. The pigment layer itself is structurally embedded and doesn’t fade, what wears is the polyurethane topcoat, which we can refresh without disturbing the metallic.

Collector-car garages
Boca Raton, Pinecrest, and Coral Gables collector-car clients are our most-requested metallic install. Showroom-floor depth, dramatic color movement, polyurethane topcoat that shows the work. Sample panels brought to the walkthrough.
Hotel lobbies + retail showrooms
Commercial-scale metallic installs (1000+ sq ft) with color-consistency across the pour. We pre-mix pigment on-site to control variation. Multi-color logo inlays available for branded retail.
Restaurant + bar floors
Metallic with anti-slip aggregate broadcast into the topcoat works for upscale restaurant floors that need traction but also need to look high-end. Polyurethane topcoat is acid- and stain-resistant.
Residential entry foyers + great rooms
Less common than garage installs but a request we get a few times a year, typically Spanish-Mediterranean homes in Coral Gables where the client wants the metallic look as part of the interior design.

Are metallic floors slippery?
They’re glossy by design but we can add a fine anti-slip aggregate to the topcoat for any room that gets wet. Garages typically stay smooth.
How do they hold up to tire marks?
Polyaspartic topcoat makes hot-tire marks rare. Light marks lift with mild solvent. We provide a small touch-up kit at handoff.
Can you match a specific color?
Yes. We bring 12-color sample swatches to the walkthrough. Custom blends are possible, we mix the pigment on-site for one-off color matches.
