What sets a Suncrete flake epoxy install apart.
Most flake epoxy failures trace back to the same handful of compromises. We don’t bend on these, even if it costs us a job.
Full-broadcast chip
Vinyl chips broadcast to refusal over a basecoat, fully covers the slab, no see-through. 30+ blend palettes.
Built-in slip resistance
The chip surface itself creates texture. Wet-floor traction without a separate aggregate layer.
Hides dirt and scuffs
Speckled visual is forgiving, dust and minor marks blend in. The most practical finish for high-use garages and workshops.
The longer answer on flake epoxy.
Decorative chip-broadcast systems with serious slip resistance. Most-requested garage finish in Boca and Delray. That’s the one-line version. The longer answer is that flake epoxy is one of sixteen coating systems we install across South Florida, and the only reason it ends up on your slab is because the walkthrough determined nothing else would last as long. Wrong-system installs fail at year 2 even with perfect prep. The most expensive floor anyone ever buys is the one that needs to come out and be redone in three years.
Flake systems are the workhorse of South Florida garages for one reason: the chip texture hides damage. Dirt, tire scuffs, oil drops, minor impacts, flake blends them in. A solid-color epoxy or even a metallic shows every mark. For daily-use family garages, automotive shops, and any space where the floor will see real wear, flake is almost always the right call. We carry 30+ pre-mixed blends and can do custom blends if you want to match a specific wall color or branding.
Lifespan on a properly-prepped flake floor in a South Florida garage runs 10-15 years before any visible wear. Polyaspartic topcoat is the difference between a 5-year floor and a 15-year floor. Standard epoxy topcoats yellow and chalk in this climate within 3 years of UV exposure. Polyaspartic stays clear and color-stable for the rated life of the floor.
Common flake epoxy applications.
Most-requested project types where this system makes sense. We don’t push it into the wrong context, if your job doesn’t fit any of these, the walkthrough will tell us a different system is the right call.
Family garages (most-requested)
Two-car and three-car residential garages across Kendall, Coral Springs, Pembroke Pines, and Boca Raton. Flake hides scuffs, tire marks, and minor damage. Polyaspartic topcoat survives direct sun coming through the garage door.
Commercial gyms + back-of-house
Slip-resistance is built into the chip texture, no separate anti-slip topcoat needed. Easy to clean. Common for CrossFit boxes, traditional gyms, and locker rooms.
Workshops + hobby spaces
Woodworkers, mechanics, and hobbyists pick flake for the dirt-hiding texture. We can color-match flake blends to existing wall paint or theme colors.
Outdoor patios (with UV topcoat)
Standard flake epoxy will yellow outdoors, we swap to a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat for any outdoor flake install. Maintains color stability for 5-8 years in direct sun.

Sixteen total in our kit. The right system depends on the slab + use case, we won’t force-fit flake epoxy if a different system will outlast it.
What people ask us most.
What’s the difference between flake and metallic?
Flake is textured (chips broadcast to surface) and hides dirt. Metallic is smooth and shows everything. Flake for daily-use garages; metallic for showrooms.
Can I pick the chip blend?
Yes. We bring sample panels with 30+ pre-mixed blends. Custom blends are possible if you want to match a wall color or theme.
Does it work outdoors?
For patios, walkways, and uncovered balconies, yes, but we switch to a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Standard epoxy will yellow under direct sun.
