Not your average epoxy crew.
Suncrete Coatings was founded by a marble-polishing crew that decided to apply the same hand-finished discipline to concrete. Ten years later, we still do every pour by hand, diamond-grinding, full prep, no shortcuts. Miami Beach to West Palm.

We started in marble.
Before Suncrete was Suncrete, the founders ran a marble-polishing crew in Miami Beach. Twenty thousand square feet of natural stone a year, countertops, lobby floors, hotel staircases. The discipline of marble work is unforgiving: you can’t sand a mistake out, you can’t blend a bad joint. Either the slab is flawless or the client sees it.
In 2014 a contractor asked us to coat a garage floor. We applied the same standard. Prep took longer than the install. The floor came out perfect. Word spread through Miami Beach.
Ten years later, the floor is still in. The owner sent a photo last summer.
Three rules every Suncrete pour follows.
If a crew can’t hit these three things, the floor will fail in South Florida heat inside of two summers. So we don’t bend on them.
Diamond grind. Every slab. No exceptions.
Acid-etching is a shortcut that fails in humidity. We diamond-grind every floor to a CSP 2-3 profile, vacuum twice, moisture-test, and crack-chase before any coating touches the slab. It’s the slowest part of the job and the only part that actually decides whether the floor lasts.
We pick the system to your slab, not the other way around.
Polyaspartic on a hot garage. Urethane cement on a commercial kitchen. Polyurethane topcoat on a south-facing balcony. Sixteen systems in our kit means we don’t try to make one product solve every problem. Wrong system + perfect install still fails.
We tell you when the floor is actually ready.
Walk-on times are 24 hours. Drive-on is 48. Heavy chemical resistance hits at 72. We won’t release a floor early because you’re in a rush, and we won’t bill until we hand off a slab that’s actually cured. Reputation is built on what happens at day 90, not day 1.
What a Suncrete job actually looks like.
Walkthrough
Free, on-site. We bring a moisture meter and a flashlight. Same week.
Prep day
Diamond grind, vacuum twice, fill cracks, profile the slab. This is half the job.
Coating
Basecoat in the morning. Flake or metallic broadcast. Topcoat before cure.
Cure + hand-off
Walk-on at 24h. Drive-on at 48h. We come back to inspect at 30 days.
The honest pitch.
We’re not the cheapest crew. We’re not even the cheapest in our zip code. What we are is the crew you call when the last guy’s floor peeled at the 18-month mark.
- Marble-polishing pedigree, we read concrete before we coat it.
- Sixteen coating systems in our kit. We never force-fit the wrong one.
- Every prep step shown to you in writing before the job starts.
- Diamond grinder + dust shroud on every job. Your shop floor stays clean.
- Commercial kitchen, gym, and balcony waterproofing experience.
- 30-day follow-up walkthrough. We don’t disappear at handoff.
What people ask before they hire us.
How long does a typical garage floor install take?
One full day of prep (diamond grinding, crack chase, moisture testing), one day of coating (basecoat → flake broadcast → topcoat), then 24 hours to walk on and 48 hours to drive on. Most residential garages are start-to-finish in 72 hours of elapsed time.
What’s the difference between Suncrete and the contractor who quoted me half the price?
Probably surface prep. The fastest way to cut an epoxy floor price is to skip diamond grinding, acid-etch or just degrease and apply. That works for about 18 months in South Florida heat before the topcoat starts to peel at the edges. We diamond-grind every slab to CSP 2-3 profile, which is what manufacturers actually specify on the can. You pay more up front and the floor lasts ten years instead of one.
Do you work on commercial kitchens?
Yes. Urethane cement is our most-requested commercial system, heat-resistant, oil-resistant, hose-down rated, with cove base molded into the floor so cleaning doesn’t blow out the edges. We’ve installed in restaurants, food-processing, and gym kitchens across Miami-Dade and Broward.
What areas do you serve?
Miami Beach (HQ), Miami, Hialeah, Hialeah Gardens, Homestead, Kendall, Aventura, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach. Roughly a 100-mile radius covering Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.
Can I get a quote without a site visit?
For ballpark pricing, yes, text us square footage and a photo and we’ll send a range. For a firm number we need to walk the slab. Moisture content, crack pattern, and existing coatings all change the prep cost. The site visit is free and same-week.
What’s your warranty?
Standard installs get a one-year workmanship warranty plus the manufacturer’s product warranty (3-10 years depending on the system). Commercial installs are scoped per-project. If a topcoat fails before its rated life, we come back. We’re a small enough shop that we can’t afford to leave bad work in the field.
Got a slab? Let’s pour it right.
Send us a photo and the square footage. We’ll text back a real range, not a “starting at” number, and book a same-week walkthrough if it makes sense.
